I love this Trail there are different ways you can hike it my husband and i love switching it up if you go straight the hard parts are going to be in the begining this leads in to the white candle trail but it is worth it to see the beautiful view of the mountains no civilization in sight and all the trees and all the colors it also and it takes a while to get to the water fall it all depends on what you want to see first if you go left you will get to the waterfall much quicker and it is also very beautiful.!!You will also see a lot of wildlife we have seen several deer racoons and several snakes we saw a snake eatiing a snake right in the middle of the trail it was so awesome!

A very enjoyable hike that takes you from creek and bog crossings up to dry pine straw covered trails on hilltops. After you leave the creek area, the scenery aspect drops off sigfnificantly, but still pleasant. This was our first hike of any substance, and this 6.7 mile trek was just the perfect difficulty for us...much more strenuous than a paved park path, yet not a killer either. Glad we made the 1 1/2 hour drive from metro Atlanta to hike this.
