Overall rating: 4 Scenic rating: 3 Difficulty rating: 2 Brand new visitor's center opened in July 2006. The trail (red) has many great viewing points of the river and the ruins of the mill were interesting to see. I was impressed by the many types of flora that I had not come across on previous trails. Be sure to bring a camera!

Overall rating: 4 Scenic rating: 5 Difficulty rating: 1 I hiked this trail on July 29, 2006. The trail is nice. It is a good trail to hike on a hot day because their is a lot of shade. There wasn't a lot of people hiking, but there was a handful of people fishing along the river. I loved how much history I learned from hiking the trail. Wildlife I saw: Five-lined Skink (over 20), Eastern Racer Snake, Brown Water Snake, Banded Water Snake, frogs, a lot of fish, and numerous birds. I highly recommend checking out the visitor center!!!

Overall rating: 5 Scenic rating: 5 Difficulty rating: 4 This is a great trail. It traverses along the edges of the creek where there are a lot of rock formations to navigate. I did a bit of rock hopping in the creek, but be careful of wet, slippery stones. To make it a loop, you must also take the blue trail, otherwise you'll retrace your steps.

Overall rating: 4 Scenic rating: 5 Difficulty rating: 2 Beautiful walk along the river, with the factory ruins being the major sight. The "falls" at the end of the trail are more rapids than falls, but still worth the extra trip from the factory. My wife almost stepped on a snake along the river a few years ago, so keep your eyes out for where you are stepping!

Overall rating: 5 Scenic rating: 5 Difficulty rating: 4 Other than Sadie going insane because she got to play(lay down and rest) in the creek, this was a great hike. Great scenery and exhilerating hike across rocks to the small falls. Angie struggled a bit on the rocky inclines. I was a bit disappointed in Sadie pulling so badly but will do it again when the weather warms a bit. Maybe with her harness.
