This is a wonderful trail that I hiked for the first time today. I would love to meet some hiking buddies.

Brand new visitor's center opened in July 2006. The trail (red) has many great viewing points of the river and the ruins of the mill were interesting to see. I was impressed by the many types of flora that I had not come across on previous trails. Be sure to bring a camera!

I hiked this trail on July 29, 2006. The trail is nice. It is a good trail to hike on a hot day because their is a lot of shade. There wasn't a lot of people hiking, but there was a handful of people fishing along the river. I loved how much history I learned from hiking the trail. Wildlife I saw: Five-lined Skink (over 20), Eastern Racer Snake, Brown Water Snake, Banded Water Snake, frogs, a lot of fish, and numerous birds. I highly recommend checking out the visitor center!!!

This is a great trail. It traverses along the edges of the creek where there are a lot of rock formations to navigate. I did a bit of rock hopping in the creek, but be careful of wet, slippery stones. To make it a loop, you must also take the blue trail, otherwise you'll retrace your steps.
