Not many people hiking. Very peaceful and wooded. Love the history.

A lot of civil war history. I loved how they let you borrow a history description guide of the trails. Not a lot of people go there. Very shady but in spring/summer bring bug spray. Saw a lot of coyote scat. Visitor center is very informative.

We took the Blue trail down to the Pickett Mill location. Very nice hike, but mostly uphill on the way back. Not alot of scenery during February, but very landmarks showing war evidence.

parked in the group facility lot by mistake and was rudely asked to leave by ranger. Cost was $3. Average trail, very secluded. I don't remember seeing another hiker before being run off.

March 20, 2009! This was my first hike. Took the Red Trail, 2.0 miles. The last 1/2 mile was hard since I was not use to walking.
