This is an excellent trail to prepare one's self for an extended hike. The last time I was there I was treated to the site of ten deer running through these woods.

I took this trail on New Year's Day,2006. A buck crossed my path and there was a heron in the river with the geese. I have some great pictures of the bridge.

On the banks of the Chattahoochee. It is quite crowded on the weekends. There are a lot of rich houses to be spotted on the way. It felt like the trail was curving around a flat forest for most of it. The chattahoochee is pretty, but it gives a view of the rich houses--so that sucks.

Saw two deer grazing in a meadow by the trail. Lots of Canada Geese on the water. Quiet and uncrowded during the week. Weekend has lots of fishermen.
