This trail is an easy to reach trail, good for an afternoon of wandering through the lowland forest in the floodplane of the Chattahoochee river. It runs roughly parallel to an oil pipeline and crosses several minor tributary streams, where small wild life can be observed. Chipmunks, squirrels and woodpeckers accompanied us on our afternoon walk. The trail itself is an easy walk, only milely strenuous for beginners or oldsters trying to get back into shape. Experienced hikers may find it less than challenging, but a peaceful stroll none the less.

Great trail for the pup. A little confusing when it came time to turn around. Nice and level. Great to stomp around and get the heart rate up for us in the beginning classes of fit school. How ever there were some hidden roots under the leaves that I tripped over that caused me to take a face dive to the ground. Pretty amusing, I didn't get hurt, I hopped up, brushed off, and stomped on away. Took us rookies with a little pup about 1.5 hours to do the whole loop with detours for scenic stops and stepping aside for the other dogs and owners to pass us. It was a great freshman effort, looking forward to finding more local trails to hike!
