This is an absolutely beautiful trail. Easy to get turned around with the maps though. We went in early spring and were able to get some great views of the lake and streams. Watch out for snakes while hiking on the rocks by the lake :)

Flat trail follows the banks of the river for about 3.5 miles.

Pretty nice hike in the Chattahoochee system. One long stretch that runs along the lake is kind of difficult, snaky looking, just so you're aware. You can always turn around or avoid that stretch by studying the maps posted along the trail.
