Trail reports for Falls Branch Falls

Overall rating: 3 Scenic rating: 3 Difficulty rating: 2 Ranger house was no longer marked; nice view of the fall was visible with no obstructions. The 'bridge' that is described in the directions is really a sewage pipe under the dirt road, very easy to miss. A better locator is this: When the paved road ends, the trail begins not but 1/4 mile ahead. It is not marked, except for white double-diamond blazes on the tree by the road. Worth the trip, for sure.

Overall rating: 5 Scenic rating: 5 Difficulty rating: 3 I love this trail! I took my kids on it for their first real hike. It was easy for me but they commented numerous times how now they know what the Native Americans probably felt like when walking the trail of tears. Drama Queens! They were happy to go back to the blue ridge cabin we rented from www.escapetoblueridge.com

Overall rating: 5 Scenic rating: 4 Difficulty rating: 2 Wardens home is not marked. There is not a clear parking area. You must keep an eye out for the white markers on the tree. It will look as if you are beginning a walk toward an old cabin. Worth the hike, no obstruction on the view.
