Steady one mile incline. We included this trail in our approach to the Hike Inn trail which was 5 miles--making this a 6 mile X 2 or 12 mile hike. Larry and I accomplished this-our longest and most unforgetable hike to day on Sunday, July 9th, 2006. Our total hiking time was approx. 5 1/2 hours. Encountered a copperhead snake, dying baby bird, large owl, chipmunks, beautiful flowers, stunning insects and a lot of nice hikers. Beautiful trail.

Definitely go up this route and then down the stairs , if too tired.

Very nice vista at the top of this trail. You can turn this trail into a 2 mile loop by coming up or down the stairs on the waterfall trail. Saw several deer on our hike of this trail last weekend.

Beautiful falls, tends to be crowded but worth seeing at least once.

Walked up trial in Oct 2008 with Becky and Stephanie. Steep climb. Hard for them. Worth trip to get to top of falls. Section where you climb on old gravel road not the best.

Worth the climb but it was raining the last time we were there so we drove to the top! It's a must see!
