Found water at 3 sources although only one sign. Like new plastic blue blazes on much of trail. Still made 2 wrong turns.

I recently hiked this trail from hwy 60 and linked up with the Coosa back country trail to Blood Mountain. This trail is very difficult, trekking poles are a must. If you don't like a lot of ups and downs, this is not the trail for you. There are very few places to camp and even less water. I suggest pack light on everything else and bring plenty of H2O. There are not many rewards for your efforts, some good outlooks towards the end but you are in the trees for most of the trail. I would not recommend this trail for a summer hike, definitely for early spring and fall. Happy trails!
