A very historical trail that I have visited many times all my life. It has great views of the surrounding area and lots of history.

Good short hike that left me huffing and puffing. Couldn't find the grave as many fallen small trees fouled the last bit of the trail. Winter view wil be much much better. 15-20% grades the last 1/2!

My wife and I hiked this trail yesterday and what I saw just made me extremely angry. First of all the trail is washing away because some of the hikers refuse to use the switchback trails and make short cuts. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!!!! Second when we got to the second overlook I just stood in shock. There was a pile of beer cans and a bunch of other trash just scattered everywhere. How can people be so ignorant. I mean what part of LEAVE NO TRACE do they not understand. I am going back up there today with a trash bag and cleaning up the mess. I hope whomever did this will read this and be a little more considerate for the other people who love and enjoy this trail so much.
