This rating was added on 2006-02-07
Overall rating: 3 Scenic rating: 3 Difficulty rating: 2 Another trail in the Wildlife Center is the Multi Use loop trail. Aprox. 6 mi. in length, there are numerous (hiking only) trails that offshoot the main trail. Although not blazed, the main loop trail is very wide and very easy to follow. The trail head and parking area are clearly marked on the road just before one turns off to go the visitors center.

Overall rating: 4 Scenic rating: 3 Difficulty rating: 2 The trails are quite nice and very good for birdwatching and wildlife viewing. However, the abundance of wildlife means an extremely high concentration of ticks. If you so much as step outside of your car, you WILL pick up a few ticks.
Wear strong repellant, treat your clothes with permethrin, and perform thorough tick checks. These parasites are no bigger than the head of a pin.
