Nice trail. Recommend going during week because it is packed on weekends. A lot of civil war history.

This is a rugged trail. My hiking partner, Rockie the shihtzu, and I had a blast on this trail. We hiked the steep Mountain Top trail and descended via the Burnt Hickory Trail. The climb to the top of the mountian was smooth but extremely steep, and we had to take several breaks. The descent was also steep and anything but smooth. To me, the more rugged the terrain the better and more fun it is. The loop leaving and returning to the visitors center took us 5 hours. This may be longer than most due to several short breaks along the way. We crashed for 3 hours when we got home and later I discovered Rockie nursing 2 paw pads that had minor abrasions...

We love this hike. It is close to home and we do it to stay in shape. It takes us about 2hrs and 45min to complete the hike without a lot of stopping.

Have hiked only selected parts of this trail. Up the south side of Pigeon Hill to the top of Little Kennesaw and also from the North side from the Visitor's Center. Have not made the complete loop. Sadie loves it too. Took Thomas and Sadie one trip and made it all the way across Little Kennesaw and started up Kennesaw before he got tired.

My love for hiking started here as a child, mom and dad would bring me and my brother out here. This is one of many trails in the Kennesaw Mt park area. It's not too difficult to complete, but there are some areas of difficulty.

Nice little trail, historic scenery and good view of downtown ATL from Marietta. There are lots of hidden places along the way to explore. Trail is close to several big open fields. Somewhat heavily populated on weekends, but it's a good workout.

If you want to on a hike but can't get out of town, this is a great trail in your own back yard.
