Overall rating: 5 Scenic rating: 4 Difficulty rating: 3 I have done this trail a few times. This is a pretty easy section of the AT in GA. Usually not as busy as other sections. It is a easier hike if up start at Hogpen. It is a easy overnight hike. If parking at Hogpen, get there early because parking fills up quickly. Winter views are better. Great flowers in spring time. The water sign at Chattahoochee gap is actually the start of the Chattahoochee River (down a blue blazed trail).
