This is a unique trail; once I was here in May -- it was cool -- and when I passed by the small dam at the end of the sm. pond, a thick, opaque fog was emanating out of the slew -- circling and blowing-up. The pier, which is kind of hard to find, goes a few paces out into the slew. I didn't see a lot of wildlife; the area has an almost artificial aura; there's nothing else like this in Georgia I am sure. I would like to visit this area in the dead of winter.

The rhododendren thicket at the end of the trail is simply a wonder to behold. This thick, abundant bush nearly forms a cave that our kids loved! The sound of the birds was extraordinary,
