This entry pertains to the directions; be advised that the first 6 mile marker is in Gilmer county. The trail is actually in Murray county, so you must continue west on 76 until you reach the next 6 mile marker (12 miles beyond the first). Also, Woodring Branch road is paved at 76, with only a bit of gravel road near the middle of the drive. Thanks for the informative website!

through the woods, great walk along lake for a few minutes. Lots of down trees in way the last part.
