We entered the enchanted forest in search of a trail to a golden pond of gold water with gold dirt and silver mud. We found it. I won't bore you with the details of the where and the how and all that, but I will say that the trail is in good shape. We saw only a few ex-cons and we were able to out run most of them. Most of them. I did lose an arm at one point. But such is the life of the trail king. My share of the golden pond more than makes up for that. And I found a spider named Ducky. I squahed him.

Short, easy hike. Sneakers or light-weight hiking shoes sufficient. Nice waterfall, but best after heavy rains.

The trail also continues past the falls, back to Ochs Highway. This additional hike adds about a mile to the round trip distance.
