North Georgia Mountain
Outfitters, Ellijay

Wednesday, June 22, 2005

I have made this walk several times. The path is pretty steep but the falls are pretty at the end. This is the one that got me started hiking in the first place. The Georgia mountians are full of places like this that are easy to get to.

Hiked 11/7/04 with my 4 year old son. We enjoyed it. It is VERY "civilized" with a gift shop at the bottom and a paved path, but the hike and falls are absolutely beautiful. Crowded the day we went, but a very good time. Trail is steep and tiring, but me and my 4 year old made it with no real trouble.

Though the trail is paved and relatively short, there were a few steep sections. It is well worth a little huffing and puffing.

Hiked Anna Rubby Falls Trail on June 5, 2004. The trail was easy and the view of the falls spectacular. This was, by far, the best waterfall my husband and I have hiked to. There were plenty of places to view and photograph the falls and the creek along the path to the falls. The trail had been closed in May for repairs to the path and bridges. They had just finished up some more repairs that day when we arrived. Well worth the $3 fee to get in.

My fiance and I were married at the top deck of Anna Ruby falls on Saturday, October 11th. 30 of our closest friends and family made the trek. My grandmother who had knee surgery 2 months earlier even made the hike. There was a little mist early, but by 10:00, it was perfect. Everyone had a great time.

Hiked on 08/09/03. Met a 76 year old man and his "hiking buddy" on the trail. If he can do it everyone can. It was a pleasure to hike. Took the wife and I twice as long to hike because we took our Golden Retriever "Lily-Girl" along. Everyone we met wanted us to stop and let them pet her. She enjoyed the hike and extra attention from everyone.

I have hiked this trail several times in the past couple of months and it is a very easy hike for anyone who has the interest in nature. Or for those who want to introduce nature or hiking to your children this is the perfect "easy" hike! Also at Anna Ruby Falls there are trout streams-- but not for fishing-- for an interest at Georgias streams and what lives in them.

When I hiked up the Anna Ruby Falls, it was the most beautiful place that I have ever seen. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time and I think that it makes a perfect date. There are great spots to take pictures to make memories together.

I have never been there yet but the beautiful falls are breathtaking

I have been a member of the Appalachian Trail club, but would like to hike again. Also, is it permitted for a dog to come along?

I have hiked to the falls many times. My sister even got married up there! Anyway, yesterday I hiked a trail near the lodge called the Bottoms trail and it was a good hike. There was no one around and it was very pretty. If you want to continue to Helen, the trail forks off in that direction. The Bottoms trail is a 2 mile loop and the trail to Helen is 2.5.

It is a beautiful scene all the way to the falls. The trail follows the creek with its smaller water falls to the two falls known as Anna Ruby Falls. I saw a rainbow just below the falls. It is an easy walk to the falls and the trail is wide enough for traffic coming and going.

Very crowded, parking access was closed due to overcrowding. Expensive parking fee of $3.00 (our tax dollars at work). Asphalt trails? What were they thinking? The falls were beautiful. If you could see past the crowd at the limited viewing area. Just my perception.

A beautiful set of falls, but easy access and development has made it too "civilized"!

I have hiked the trail to Anna Ruby several times. The trail is an easy trail to hike, is well marked and has several areas on the stream from the falls that are interesting. This area could be a very challenging subject for nature photographers, with the different lighting patterns, water flows and natural surroundings

I'm from Athens and do alot of wilderness camping around Helen and Cleveland. It's a beautiful area.

This is perhaps the most scenic trail in Georgia which is easily traversed by both wheelchairs and baby carraiges. We first hiked it 16 years ago while transporting both of our children. We have all four returned many times to enjoy this scenic wonder. Neat and careful hikers may want to enjoy a sandwich at the deck built near the base of the falls!

I love this trail and this site! I walked Anna Ruby (I thought it was one word) and wanted to see what was on the web about it and found this site. Now I have a bunch more trails to hike.

Beauty unheard of is this fall, again I walk with a cane and found this to be a little more tiring for me, but I do recommend it with a little rest on the way up. Thanks

Pushing a stroller was difficult because of rough pavement in a couple of spots, particularly near a large outcropping of rock.

I Love this trail. What a great way to spend an hour after a couple of hours shopping in Helen.
