Resaca
Take GA 136 west from Resaca for 15 miles or east from LaFayette for 13 miles. Turn south, east of Villanow, on Pocket Road for about 6 miles to Johns Mountain Trail sign.

Rome
From Rome, take U. S. Highway 27. Turn right on Depot St. (Floyd Springs Road). Floyd Spring Road eventually veers to the right and the well-paved road, now Everett Springs Road continues straight. In June, 2000, the Everett Springs Road sign was missing from at this intersection. Continue on this road until the Johns Mountain sign. From the sign the dirt road climbs to the top of the mountain. This road can be steep and switches back. At the top of the mountain there is a small parking lot with an overlook.
