Georgia's river hikes let you explore banks of rivers and frequently offer additional outdoor adventure.

Amicalola Falls Trail - Steep, staired descent along the face of the waterfall to the reflecting pond, with a return to the visitors center along the Base of Falls Trail
Amicalola River Trail - Hike to the Edge of the World Rapids, then up to explore the Dawson Wildlife Management Area
Bartram Trail - Climbs to the top of Rabun Bald, descends into Warwoman Dell, then parallels, but does not run next to, the Chattooga River to SR28
Big Creek Greenway (North Point) - Paved, level hike along Big Creek (Vickery Creek) just east of GA 400
Broad River Trail - Meanders alongside the middle branch of the Broad River.
Buford Dam Trail - Explores the Lower Pool of Buford Dam (Lake Lanier)
East Palisades - Loop trail circles a Chattahoochee National Recreation Area park on and above the river.
Johnson Ferry Trail - Explores a flood plain of the Chattahoochee River
Jones Bridge (Chattahoochee National Recreation Area) - This relatively flat, wide trail climbs two low ridges, explores 2 flood plains and follows the Sweetwater Blue - Takes an inland route to the ruins of the cotton mill, then takes a second inland route to Sweetwater Creek Falls
Tallulah Gorge Loop Trail - Exciting hike into the 600 ft deep gorge. Kayaking and in-gorge hiking are allowed with permit
Tearbritches Trail - From FS68 in the Cohutta Wilderness, Tearbritches Trail travels 3.4 miles to the Conasauga River Trail near Panther Creek
Vickery Creek Trail - Highlight the historical aspects of the old Roswell Mill, and its importance to the South during the Civil War.
